About Me

Hi there! My name is Patty and I'm a chocoholic.

I am also a forty something stay at home mother to three gorgeous and amazingly active and bright boys born in 2007, 2009 and 2011. This means that I haven't had a decent night's sleep since the fall of 2006, have practically given up on the idea of ever seeing the end of the laundry because, frankly, it enjoys reproducing far more than I enjoy cleaning up after it and trying to be content with what feels like a total disconnect with the person I was before having children. 

DH and I were married in 1996 and, besides our biological offspring, we share our home with our two cats, Bella and Angel (our lovely black and white cat Checkers passed away unexpectedly in September of 2013) as well as an undetermined number of mice living under our refrigerator. At least that's what I presume the cats lie in wait for in front of the fridge. They could be going through the four legged equivalent of a teenaged stage...

Prior to having children, I spent a lot of time writing, designing and creating. I painted, quilted, hooked rugs, knitted, crocheted, you name it. It was during that time that I started my first blog 'Fibreholic' and really enjoyed the community I found online as a result.


My world is now moving on another axis and what time I have is now spent desperately fighting to keep my eyes open from almost six years of lack of sleep. Therefore, I decided to start a new blog. Hopefully the shiny newness of it will keep me awake long enough to write the occasional blog post :).
